Welcome to the Susquehanna County Career & Technology Center website!

The SCCTC is the main source of Career & Technical Education for all of Susquehanna County and parts of Wyoming County. We offer a number of educational opportunities to high school students and adults to enable them to become life-long learners, productive citizens, and responsible members of society.

Our Programs of Study include: Automotive Technology, Carpentry & Cabinetmaking, Building/Property Management, Business Education, Cosmetology, Food Processing/Production/Services, Health Care Technology, and Cooperative Education/Diversified Occupations.

Presently, seven area schools send students to SCCTC programs. Students from Blue Ridge High School, Elk Lake High School, Lackawanna Trail High School, Montrose Area High School, Mountain View High School, Susquehanna Community High School, and Tunkhannock Area High School. After visiting our site, please do not hesitate to call us at 570-278-9229 ext. 780 for more information. We look forward to hearing from you.

We are in the midst of some very exciting times here at SCCTC. This September we opened the first student-run credit union branch at a career center in Susquehanna County. The P & G Mehoopany Employees Federal Credit Union branch is open every Thursday, from 9 AM to 3 PM in the Ken Kirk Conference Room at the SCCTC. All students of the SCCTC and the Elk Lake School District are eligible for membership and are being encouraged to open accounts. Students in our chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) have adopted a brand new organization, The Susquehanna County Economic Development Advisory Council, Inc. (SCEDAC) as this year’s Community Service Project. FBLA students will be assisting SCEDAC in developing membership and surveying members for their needs and concerns. This type of partnership with business and industry is something that the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) strongly encourages.

Our restaurant, “A Touch of Class” has a new menu, including Prime Rib Thursdays, offering full roast prime rib dinners one Thursday a month for $7 to $9. The restaurant will also be open one evening each month. Check the menu on this site for details. We are continuing our Cosmetology Clinics which are held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 AM to 11 AM and one Saturday a month (see schedule on our web site under School Resources). We will also be offering an Automotive Safety Inspection course and a ServSafe Class. The SCCTC strives to be a resource for the local community in many ways in addition to being up-to-date on all skills we teach to our students.

Please come in and visit us for whatever you might need: haircuts, manicures, pedicures, or other beauty treatments; car work, fine dining. Please call ahead for an appointment to make your visit as efficient as it can be.
